“Micky Maus Magazin” is now available in Ukrainian for the first time. Egmont Ehapa Media, the publisher of the German-language cartoon, has produced the free special for refugee children from Ukraine in Germany with support from Mohn Media in Gütersloh. “When the Egmont Ehapa managers approached us with the idea for this special, we were all very enthusiastic about it and immediately agreed to cover the cost for the speech balloon setting and final artwork of the translation,” said Julian Vertkersting, Pre-Press Manager at Mohn Media. Egmont Ehapa is a longstanding publishing client of Mohn Media.

With this campaign, Egmont Ehapa aims to make a contribution to bringing a bit of familiarity, joy and lightness to Ukrainian children in their new and still unfamiliar daily life in Germany. “As part of the Egmont group, which is owned by the Danish Egmont Foundation, we hope to make a small contribution to promoting children who grow up under special circumstances with this project that is dear to our heart,” said Jörg Risken, Publishing Director Magazines at Egmont Ehapa. The Ukrainian special has 36 pages and includes popular comics from Duckburg as well as jokes, tips and tricks. The special has a print run of 5,000 copies.
