Prinovis Media Day 2017

Spotlight On Successful Print Marketing

Numerous Bertelsmann Printing Group customers and business partners recently met in Berlin for the sixth Prinovis Media Day. The customer event, attended by about a hundred guests, was held under the heading: “Future-oriented! – Effective brand-building using print marketing.” The program included lectures that illustrated the subjects of brand and brand-building from a wide range of perspectives. There was also plenty of time for company representatives to network with each other.

Axel Hentrei, CEO of Bertelsmann Printing Group, opened the event by welcoming the guests to Bertelsmann Unter den Linden 1, Berlin, and then went on to discuss the building's dynamic history and the Bertelsmann Printing Group's positive business development in 2016. Commenting on the recent changes in the Group, Hentrei said: “The integration of the former Arvato businesses AZ Direct, Adality and BeDirect, which was completed in February, further expanded our solutions portfolio and lets us offer our customers – especially those in the retail and mail-order segments – an even broader range of services from now on.”

During the course of the event, the speakers discussed the topics of brand and brand-building from a variety of different perspectives. Holger Hübner, co-founder and organizer of the Wacken Open Air Festival, described the challenges of organizing and marketing the world’s biggest heavy metal festival. Tobias Wolf, Strategy & Consulting Director at the Hamburg-based agency Track, spoke about data-driven marketing solutions for the fast-food chain McDonalds, and Stephan Postler, Managing Director of Territory, spoke about the great importance of quality content for successful marketing. Boris Schramm, Managing Director of GroupM Competence Center GmbH, made a convincing case for print, sprinkled with many scientific findings. Finally, Martin Drust, Marketing Director at FC St. Pauli, gave the visitors an entertaining insight into the themes of brand, marketing and sales at the iconic Hamburg soccer club.
