A huge success for the storage media experts in Gütersloh: Last Thursday in Berlin, Sonopress won the German Brand Award in the contest category “Industry Excellence in Branding.” Sonopress Managing Director Sven Deutschmann accepted the coveted prize for successful brand management on behalf of all Sonopress employees. The award was initiated by the German Design Council, an independent and internationally active institution that supports companies in effectively communicating their design and brand expertise. The award is presented annually by the German Brand Institute, with the aim of strengthening the significance of brands as a crucial success factor for businesses in the national and international competitive environment.
Said Deutschmann: “This award is very special to us mainly for three reasons: First, only companies nominated by the German Brand Institute, its brand scouts, and expert committees were able to compete; secondly, this year's judges once again consisted of top-class experts from the brand economy and brand sciences; and thirdly, we have prevailed as ‘Winner’ in the category ‘Consumer Electronics’. More than 1,250 entries were received for this year's German Brand Award, 51% of them in “Industry Excellence in Branding”, where participating companies were honored in 35 categories, and 49% in “Excellence in Brand Strategy, Management and Creation.” Deutschmann continued: “We see this award as recognition for the excellent teamwork of all Sonopress employees, and also as an incentive to become even better in the future.” Sonopress received the award for excellence in branding within its own industry.
